The "Curse Of The Fallen Soul" E.P., which is available on TKO records,
is Al Barr's first release with the Murphys. The 7" is just a test of what he
can do for the boys.
The A side features 2 teaser tracks from the upcoming (at that time)
"The Gang's All Here" LP. The first number is the title tack, "Curse Of The
Fallen Soul." The song is about loosing a friend, and moarning his death. The
second song on the A side is "Going Strong." The song is basically about the
scene and how it is still striving after all these years.
The B side features 3 numbers. The first track is "The Legend of Finn
MacCumhail." The track, as many of you know, appears on their latest album
"Sing Loud, Sing Proud." "On The Attack," which is done in a old school
hardcore fashion, is a tribute to old Boston hardcore. The band has been
influenced by all those bands, and with this song, they pay their respect.
The secret track on the album is " You're A Rebel" which is a classic Iron
Cross song.
The "Curse Of The Fallen Soul" EP only offers 2 tacks which can't be
found anywhere else(at the time, however, all the songs were new). If you are
a devoted DKM fan, you probably should get it, if you already don't have it.
